In the past I ran away a lot. I would run away from my fears by either taking a long walk outside by myself (didn't matter the time of day, weather, location) or if the fear was big enough (and I was old enough) I bought a plane ticket and left the country.
I don't know if running away from your fears is the answer, but for me it was part of the solution. I needed to be on my own so I can come up with a solution that worked, For Me.
And just so we're clear (and completely honest) I want you to know my fears were masked with anger. It didn't take much to make me mad with adults. (I thought they should know better)
It's your turn. I dare you to take a look at your own tendencies and see why you do that thing you do.
Can it work for you, if you make a slight adjustment in perspective?

One last thing:
I've done lots of slight shifts here and there over the years. The angry person I used to be no longer exists. I'm a lot calmer. I face my fears. I continue to learn and improve.
And it feels so good!
