The grass is always greener on the other side. Only you can feel what you feel and experience fully every bit of your day. The only thing you can't do is see yourself. You know what I mean... SEE yourself. Sure you can look in a mirror but you never get to see the micro expressions, the unnoticed mannerisms, the manner in which you choose to walk from one room to another. Let's flip this quote/saying. WHAT IF... The greener grass you see in others is a reflection of you. Think of someone you see everyday. What is about that person you love? Her mothering combination of lioness protector and gentle guardian. His ability to be calm through the storm. Work ethic of the energizer bunny only to slow down to enjoy family. Chances are what you see is what you have! Do you want to know what I had to do to learn this lesson? I literally flipped!!!! Note to SelfPerspective can flip your world upside down. Try it and see what happens. Learn something new about yourself or the people around you. Doing this will allow you to feel empathy/compassion for those who appear negative to you. You never know what they are going through. Allow them to experience their struggle without judging. Pay attention! You may be surprised to "see" mothering from a person who is not a mother. Your child may teach YOU something today; allow yourself to be his/her student on what could be an important life lesson. Note from SandyRather than focusing on what I lack, I made sure when November started to come from a place of gratitude. I have to admit this beautiful evolving blog is the reason for a heightened sense of attention to the start of a new month. If I don't pay attention, then I may not have anything to share with you wonderful readers. I digress. More importantly, I've failed to mention the picture you see of me upside down. I wanted to take gratitude and perspective to a whole new level. And I have. Comments are closed.
